2 weeks left of school, but only one week left of classes. I don't think it's a good thing when I almost began to sleep during my Global Politics class. I did take notes though. Chemistry lab final was unexciting and I majorly guessed on two questsions. It's only worth the equivalent of one lab. Don't stress. Yeah, right!
So, I will survive on the next two weeks with Facebook and my chemistry book. Get ready to lose my sanity! Argh!
Above is a recent dub I'm in as Maimi Yajima. Full cast is below. This song is Campus Life ~Umaretekite Yokatta~ originally by: C-ute. This group is called °Ki-rei, a group under Hana Pro Indies, and our first single was SHOCK! Our dub came out the same day as the cd for C-ute was released for both our projects. Thanks Kappa for mixing and doing the lyrics for this dub. It was well worth it!
CAST:
Suzuki Airi : Nagi [ telenagikinetic ]
Yajima Maimi : Purply [ purplywater ]
Hagiwara Mai : Aoi [ chocolateblakberri ]
Nakajima Saki : Rae [ singingondemand ]
Okai Chisato : Kappa [ xmikipinkux ]
Mixer: Kappa
MP3: http://www.box.net/shared/60fv4av4d3
I decided to share this since I usually never, I repeat, NEVER do C-ute dubs. It was an interesting change and I got to do my own spin on Maimi.
Anyway, Kappa is the Leader and Producer of Hana Project. The super awesome group that cover Hello! Project and other Jpop groups. Keep rocking, Hana Pro!

Opening Weekend of a Musical
This week has all been dedicated to Thoroughly Modern Millie. Rehearsals all week then three shows this weekend. Running around a lot backstage, moving set pieces, changing costumes, applying lipstickk, and looking like I'm from the 20's. Normal stuff! This show has been a lot of fun and instead of being on stage like I was in Grease I got to re-experience the aspects of being in the chorus.
Chorus Life:
1. Working as a team in a production.
2. Not being upset over what role you got. It's the fact that you are in the show is the big matter and being a great supporting cast to the Leads helps them tremendously and makes the show that much better.
3. Rising above attitudes.
4. Moving set pieces. The door does not like me sometimes and decides to get stuck. Urgh!
5. Meeting a lot of different people who love Theatre as much as you do.
This is also my first show where I got to wear a wig. It's more of a hair piece but meh. Details, details. I thought the opening weekend performances were pretty good. Well, from what I could hear, more like. haha
Three more weekends, and I plan to make my character Cora, a Hotel Priscilla Girl, better each night. Like Stacie and I say: Fighting!
I'm also trying to survive the Finals Crunch month, mostly for Chemistry, Philosophy, and Physics. Let the battle begin! I can take them on!

Study: Chem Cram
Cram 3 chapters into my brain for a test on Thursday. I envy myself on how much I get to read the boring text book. Not much of a life till after Thursday. Millie rehearsal should be the highlight of my day tomorrow. Not much else. But not raining remains a plus in my book. Carry on as you were.
Bored. And oh so sleepy. Night.

Meh, School
Semesters go by very fast in college and you keep discovering more hidden fees. It's like a game. The student can never win.
<3 Chemistry has become my favorite class beating even Physics. That class is supposed to be easier, too! I don't understand chemistry all the time, but it's probably the people that I've gotten to know in there. Plus, the teacher seems more laidback and cool. Time can change perspective.
Alice in Wonderland tomorrow. Not the midnight showing but a daytime showing. I'm not crazy. We'll see how that goes. It has Johnny Depp, so sure to be some degree of win!
Musical practice doesn't start until next week again and it's like only two days, which is fine with me. Being chorus has its advantages. Who wants to worry about the lead stuff all the time, right?
Tired of thinking about some people. Just depressing, Just better to let the past go and "Keep moving forward!"
I blame sleep for this blog post not making any sense.

Everyday is A Lovely Day
I think that is the theme for this day. Park Shin Hye's song "Lovely Day" really does capture this moment in time because there is a song for everyday of your life. The beauty of California is breath taking and spectacular and its even better to appreciate it with close friends and family. This is Dez-Air's first vacation together and it is very exciting! <3!
There was lots to do today with museums to explore and take pictures of and even videos of. To be happy in life is not to chase the illusions of others but find a purpose for yourself instead of chasing the ideals of an illfit future. I can't describe how incredible it is to go outside your zone of comfort and explore another person's hometown. It gives a different perspective and lends an appreciation of their style of life when you begin to learn about it.
Day starts later than at home and I enjoy sleeping in. Rooming with other college students is an insightful experience. Its about compromise and bonding with one another. No matter which way you think about them.
GPSes are all named Karen. Spongebob Reference and yes, even they make you take longer routes to your destination. They even have improper grammar. Gasp!
Disneyland is highlight of vacation but enjoying the time before then is an even greater adventure. May the adventure continue tomorrow and I hope I can smile more at least. haha Till then and limited internet access, Em Darling!

Ah, Faillog!
I fail at keeping up my blog for even one straight day. I can't even do it two straight days in a row. Go me! Faillog! Anyway, school is almost over. Thank goodness and winter break is about to start.
Destiny was over for the weekend and we finished recording our "Love Story" cover and even finished mixing it. That means Dez-Air has now finished recording two whole tracks. Go us! Our "Nobody" cover is still my favorite, its probably ue to the awesomeness of the Wonder Girls. We are planning on doing a music video for our cover of "Nobody." We hope to work on that over winter break. The keyword in that is "hope." If we actually get it done, I will be so excited. Even if we just get it shot at the very least.
I've been hooked on my first Korean drama for the last week, "You're Beautiful." Basically, a girl has to impersonate her brother who is in an all guy idol group. It has quite a bit of interesting situations. I enjoyed this show a lot. It was very addictive and had some catchy songs. I even think it beats "Glee." Blasphemy, I know!
Chemistry final ate my brain over the last few week and stressed me out very badly. I am glad I get a month break from that class. Too much information in so little time. *shudder*

Past Rememberings
Is it wise to dredge up the past? I think it is okay when you are just flipping through a photo album of old memories. I like to remember the past by listening to old recordings. It's really weird because most people hate listening to their voice in recordings. I like to listen because it shows your improvement as a singer. Well, if your not a singer that doesn't matter, I guess.
I'm not as buried in chemistry lately which is a good thing. I think I can manage to get a B in the class. Barely. That was quite a fight for a while. Studying in the study group did help a lot. They say you get a whole letter grade better in the study group than if you studied by yourself.
We have to do an oral history of a person who came to the United States from another country. It's a really weird project and very time consuming. It's sometimes hard to get time to myself.
Thanksgiving is in 2 days. I'm very excited because I get to see family!
Plus, my chemistry class got cancelled today. That was great and I got a 87.9 on my test. That's pretty good after my C on the last test.
This week definantly has some promise. Or it has shown some so far. I'll enjoy it while it lasts.
